Nursing questions are the most common questions that I got from students, and most of times the questions are fairly basic because students do not know too much about the profession or the process to become a nurse. In this video I break down the basics while focusing on Miami Dade College and Broward College because I believe that for South Florida students these schools will provide the best education at the lowest price. While there are many nursing programs in South Florida which I mention in the video, I focus primarily on the following:

Minimum Requirements to be a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Associate of Science (ASN) or Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)

  • Pass the NCLEX National Council Licensure Examination

  • Complete a Background Check

BSC 2085- Anatomy and Physiology 1 AND BSC2085L Anatomy & Physiology Lab

  • BSC 2086-Anatomy and Physiology 2 and BSC2086L Anatomy & Physiology Lab

  • CHM 1033 Chemistry for Health Sciences (3 credits) 

  • Chemistry for Health Sciences Lab (1 credit) Prerequisite: MAT 1033⬧ and Corequisite: CHM 1033

  • MCB 2010 Microbiology (3 credits) Prerequisite: BSC2085/L and CHM 1033 Prerequisite: MAT 1033⬧ CHM 1033L 

General Education Requirements

  • ENC 1101

  • AMH 2020 OR POS 2041 (FCLE-Florida Civics Literacy Exam)

  • MAC 1105 (Depending on math scores may need MAT 1033 First)

  • CGS 1060

  • PHI 2010 (Prerequisite ENC 1101)
